Akeem Adeyemi
Founder & Chief AI Automation Architect
Akeem Adeyemi is a Computer Scientist, Software Engineer, and Cybersecurity Professional with over fourteen years of experience building high‑performance infrastructure for financial services and telecommunications across North America and Nigeria. His career spans systems programming, enterprise software engineering, and cybersecurity architecture—a rare combination that gives him deep insight into both how systems are built and how they are exploited.
He watched brilliant security teams struggle with tools designed in distant markets—tools that broke when the grid fluctuated, demanded dollars budgets could not afford, and had no concept of localized regulations breach notification. The talent shortage was visible everywhere: 68,000 unfilled cybersecurity roles in Nigeria, and organisations relying on expensive software that was never designed for Africa's realities.
On Labour Day 2025, while reviewing the latest agentic AI architectures, the realisation crystallised: the same autonomous intelligence that could orchestrate complex tasks could also close Nigeria's talent gap permanently. Africa did not need more imported tools. It needed a platform engineered specifically for its realities—combining world‑class AI with deep local compliance intelligence, built by someone who understood both the technology and the market.
That platform became ShieldSense. By mid‑2026, it was protecting its first cohort of Nigerian banks, hospitals, government agencies, and SMEs—a fully autonomous, AI‑driven cybersecurity platform purpose‑built for the Africa continent.
